ALEXANDER MCQUEEN AT THE VICTORIA AND ALBERT MUSUEM
The incredible and highly anticipated exhibition at the V&A explores the work of legendary British fashion designer Alexander McQueen is an all-immersive experience.
Savage Beauty is one of the biggest fashion exhibitions this museum has ever done and the ticket sales have been extraordinary. It is easy to see why McQueen has such an overwhelming response to his life’s work when wondering through the bespoke themed rooms.
His artistry in rendering fabric in a completely original way is undisputable. “I want people to be afraid of the women I dress,” McQueen famously stated. His creations are arrestingly displayed and arranged thematically throughout with many references to his East End roots. This isn’t like any other fashion exhibition I have ever seen; it is incredibly haunting and captivating.
